86 blazer 6.2l 700r4 Banks 4" suspension
84 cucv blazer 6.2l muncie 205 8"front 4"rear w/reversal

As long as you buy the same year clutch to match the flywheel probably not much difference. '84 had the mechanical clutch setup and '86 had a hydro clutch setup too.

I have the GM flywheel with casting #14022675. I ran it behind an '84 motor that was installed in my '79 K10 last.

I'm running a single mass flywheel from a 6.5L -- All works just fine so long as all the parts match :D

thanks

hey thanks for feed back i was unaware of the hydro in 86 my 86 is auto. This helps me alot. Learning something new everyday

Your firewall/floor is already dimpled for the hydro clutch master...so you can get it all done with the factory parts somewhat easily. The hard part is finding a set of hydro clutch pedals and hanger assembly, plus the hydro specific SM465 bellhousing.
