So I got this wild hair up my a$$ and decided to paint my truck, This is how it is now, I dont think I like it.... should I paint the whole thing flat black and be done with it or what. Id like some other paint options. this is what I did by myself and I think it looks pretty sh!ty.

maybe leave a strip of silver/white from where it is on the bottom and continue black up top on the body line

How about leaving the silver(?) as a side stripe, and run the black forward along the same line just below the bedrails? (painting the cab and upper portion of the doors) Follow the line forward until you hit the fender, make it a straight line with the upper grille surround.

That might be ugly too, but if I'm not mistaken, that's similar to what the factory did. I personally like the two tone, if the colors are good, and black/silver do look good together.

It takes a good eye to come up with something other than black. (especially to make two tone look good) In my opinion, black is way overdone in vehicles, at least when people do it themselves. I appreciate a nice black 4th gen Firebird or 80's Monte SS as much as the next person, but on a resto or repaint, it's just cliche.

i like grey/silver as a black alternative. id prolly go silver if i didnt have red intertior:doah: :doah: :doah:

flat black here in Hotlanta, no F'n way:eek1: . been there and done that, way to hot in the summer.

i'ddoasliver, dark blue or i really like that matalic green in the previous pic.

Go camo!!

Or the best would be Zebra stripe. :waytogo:

Ive had a satin black Blazer and a white Blazer. And now an original Chevy Green 73 K20. The satin black with black steal wheels was my favorite. It wqs a rattle can job and I didnt care about scratching it or cleaning it.

I like it. It's different and doesn't suck. Plus, it's easy to touch up when you bash into a tree or a rock. :waytogo:

my suburban is about to be two tone primer and flat black, but the blazer is part od green and i love it.
