Any one know what this connector is? I thought maybe it was ALDL but that can't be right.

I know one wire is for VSS, one is for MIL, can't figure out the other wires.

I'm guessing (link in my signature will take you to the GM wiring manuals) that it is indeed the ALDL wiring. If you look at the ALDL connector, you've probably got maybe 4 actual wires running to it? It's been awhile since I looked at one, but there aren't many there. IIRC for the TBI trucks, TCC is one pin, ALDL data is one wire split to two pins, and a ground? I believe on the ABS rigs one pin might be that as well.

But as always, the wiring diagrams won't guess. ;)

I was looking at the TBI diagrams in the injection section. Unfortunately, a lot of terminals are labeled" a b c d e g f " GM had not quite figured out how to use circuit and unit connection number systems yet I guess. Lol

I started getting confused due to the above and wire colors not matching. I'll take another look tonight.

What year are you dealing with? Probably not going to be many connectors with the same number of terminals/wires.

If the wire colors aren't matching up, you most likely don't have the right manual. Very few mistakes I've seen in the electrical diagrams. Plenty in the service manual though lol.

In GM theory, I believe black/white stripe is switched ground, probably coming from the ECM. Run a continuity test if you aren't certain. ALDL pins to each pin on that connector.

I'm re-doing an ls swap so all the oem ecm stuff is gone. I figured out what all but that orange/blk wire is for. Really need to figure it out.

1987 K5 5.7 TBI originally.

Did you download the correct wiring diagram? I'd backtrace from the ALDL connector, should be easy to find in the diagrams, and it should list the connector number. Then find that connector elsewhere.

Can't quite make it out on the random GM wiring diagram I just googled, but almost appears that it could be the P/N switch input to the ECM?
