Last weekend I resumed my axle rebuild since money now allows it. New bearings front and rear and I treated myself to a brand new Grizzly locker. When I tore apart the rear I found inside it a locker that was assembled wrong. The little retainers for the springs were installed wrong and didn't allow the assembly to work. I got mad for a little while and reassembled the rear with the grizzly.
Now I have what I think is a Detroit locker sitting here that is now put together correctly I just don't know for sure if it is in fact a Detroit. Any help would be appreciated so I can decide what to do with it.

my truck being a M1009 came with a dana 44 and a10 bolt with a Gov-lock. the M1008 came with the 1-ton setups with a detroit locker. I swapped it out the original gear for a set of one tons a couple years ago. The guy I bought them off of made no mention of a locker inside. made sense if he didn't know it was there being that it was built wrong.
