help in alberta

New member here. restoring my 87 Jimmy, parted out the 2 previous ones.
I see quite a few of you here from Alberta rebuilding 6.2 diesels. I have 2 junk blocks already with bad web cracks and was hoping one of you may have a line on a half decent block to rebuild. Rebore isn't a problem. I haven't had much luck finding something good. Any I find at the wreckers, they want to charge you like its a rebuilt block if its running, and it will probably have cracks if its opened up. thanks in advance for any leads.

I don't have any lines on engines for less than $1000 here in Alberta, but you might try hitting up CK5's own Byron aka Wrench. He has a 93 6.5L block kickin' around at his place that has one small crack on one of the mains, but not in a place where you'd need to worry about it.

Last I heard he was thinkin of using it as a builder, but I imagine that if you gave him a good offer on it, he'd be willing to let it go

BTW, why not post some info about your build? Not just the engine either, but the whole rig! We love pictures and any details you are willing to post!
