I would like to rejet my quadrajet and I just pulled out jet's to get the size off them. My understanding was the size was stamped onto them but I can't see them at all.

It doesn't help that it looks like someone damaged the slot where you stick a screw driver in.

Can anyone give me a hand or possilby give me a good jet size for a bone stock 350?

What year is your rig? There's two types of jets, and as far as I know they are not interchangable.

I think the split is 1975.

It is a 82 and the engine is a 78, as far as the carburetor is it's a re manufactured from autozone. Let me get the stamping off the side and get the year.

also does anyone know the thread size as well?

since you have some mystery parts, I'd go with 50 primary rods also

Any specific reason? Why would I need new metering rods? I'm new to this and have no idea what I'm doing. it took me some research on the Google to find the jets were under the float.

Also I need this to pass AZ emissions and would like it to be mpg efficient. Even though thats like a oxy moron comment in these rigs.

I very much appreciate your help!

I was thinking since the jets are an "unknown", the primary rods may be also.

I got these values from the research I've been doing, contemplating a rebuild on my own q-jet. I have an 86 'burb.

I think I have a list of factory settings somewhere. If I find em I'll pass it on.

Do you have to pass a "sniff" test? If yes, then I would find a local shop/guy to help you with your requirements.

Yes I do have to pass a sniffer unfortunately. I posted this same question on another forum with locals and I was suggested a .072's

I'd go with their recommendations ;)

You mentioned your motor was stock? I'd think about droppinga mild cam (like a performer). It will bump your power a bit and may actually help your mpg. The stock cam is really weak.

I rebuilt a 454 once, the stock cam had about a .260 lift. Station wagon motor, '76. Embarrassingly weak...

The performer is a nice upgrade.

oh believe me I would love to drop a cam in but the engine is rather tired and leaking all over the place but it runs fairly decent. Doesn't help the rest of the truck looks like a basket case. :o

I found out which ones my carburetor has. It has 78's...

Anybody else have any insight they would like to add?

Fuel injection is way easier to deal with than carbs!

Aka, I have nothing useful to add other than the fact that I got sick of messing around with springs jets, hangers and rods a long time ago...

Amen to that carburetors are a joke.
