I am going to order a set of the LTB 40's very soon. I am somewhat torn between the 16 and 17" versions.
Right now I run 15's on a 60 and 14B and it works, but I think I am going to get away from them with these new tires. Frankly I never want to mess with the calipers again in the front. If I was to buy 15's again they would be 2.5" backspacing, and with a 16" wide tire thats too wide for the Pacific Northwest!
I know 17's are the new craze right now, but simple steel wheel selection is pretty limited. 17x9 with 5" backspacing is about all thats available.
16's seem limited on the tire selection side of the house, but I can get a 16x10 with 4" backspacing.
Is 5" backspacing ok with a dana 60 and x-over? anybody have clearance issues.
My future plans include some Stazworks for these tires so wheel size is important as it'll be a long term thing.
Are 17's the future in this sport?
Are 16's going to get any more popular?
Will 15's be around for long?

They show a BS of 4.5 rather than 5 inches. I think LTB's have at least three sizes in a 17 inch tire. I just ordered 36x13.50x17 Iroks for mine.
