I have a 6.2 (not for much longer) and in SoCal, even diesel shops look at my Jimmy cross eyed. The guys who know how to work on them are retired and the next generation of mechanic can’t diagnose anything without an OBD scanner. It’s a reliable, all-mechanical engine that gets great MPGs but you trade power, ease of starting, choking your neighbors with diesel smoke, for reliability & fuel mileage. I bought my truck to DRIVE. It’s supposed to be my toy. This is why I’m swapping to a modern EFI v8.
