I am split between the BFG KM2's or the interco TrXus Mt's. Going with a 35 inch tire on a 15 inch rim. My worries with the TrXus are tread life, I am wondering how long they are going to last on a daily driver. My biggest worrie with the MK2 is how they will handle in the snow. Anyone with any experience please chime in.

I know a few guys running the TrXus and really liked them. They rode well, lasted a good while, and did good in the snow. The key is keeping the pressure correct, good alignment, and rotate them. A few guys I know also had the BFG's and didn't like them on wet roads but I don't know how they did on snow. We have sold several sets of the TrXus tires with no complaints.

I have 33" Truxxus on my K5. Not impressed. In the hardpack snow on pavement they seemed to float all over the road, no solid feel in turns no matter how slow I drove. In the deep, unplowed, light and fluffy stuff they seemed to pull through OK but not without a struggle and still no real control. Just kinda turn the wheel and hope for the best. This is from yesterday where we got hammered with 2' of snow. Plus they were awful to balance, not only mine but others around here with the same tires.

My last truck was an S-10 on 33" MTRs and they were WAY better in the snow and much more predictable, even with the lighter vehicle. I think they had a much better build quality. They balanced up with no issues.

When I look to replace these current tires it will be with KM2s or the new MTRs.

I have 37-12.50-17 km2s on h2s , i have them on my daily driver (03 2500 hd 8inch lift) ...they work good so far in the rain and the snow. I have them for a year and 5,000 miles. They seem to work good for towing, hauling etc... I have noticed no wear and they arent loud at all . We had 6inches of snow here on the weekend and i cant complain with how they work.

Go with the Truxxus and you will not be disappointed. I have a friend who got 40,000+ out of a set of 33/12.50/15's on a 1993 Dodge Ramcharger. Snow traction is great and the wear is not too bad.

same results here, 37's though with beads

I had 255/85R16 TrXus MT's on my '96 Ranger. Loved them. 15k miles in two years with a so-so alignment and they were wearing great. I was expecting to get easily double that, 40k and up wouldn't have surprised me.

In the winter I loved them. The soft rubber and sipes grabbed the road great and the tread chewed through the snow drifts. Only MT's I've owned since 2003 that I didn't get siped...they already were and didn't need any more.

Mine were a bit heavy to balance but I used Innovative Balancing beads and they worked well. I did have to use a higher amount than IB suggested for that size tire though.

Adventurous said it , I have had both and Like the TrXus as long as there the MT's the AT's SUCK for street use there louder then my SSR's Got 45K miles out of my first set of MT's before switching to 35's the 32's went on a buddy's Jeep for another 10K Current set has about 15K on them and look good.

I was looking to go with Trxus STS's until I noticed they don't come in a 37"...now back to the drawing board. Wondering how much louder the Trxus MT's will be than BFG AT's. I currently have 35 X 12.5 X 15 BFG AT's and am looking to step up to a 37" to go on 17" H2's. I would prefer a 13 or 13.5" width...any ideas.

I had them on my Ranger for about 6 months and one day while driving down the road my wife asked what that noise was?

The radio had gone quiet and she finally noticed the tire hum. Might be a bit louder under a heavier K5 with wider tires but not bad.
