I'm have a "stupid" moment. I have a '90 K5, and currently have the ductwork for the air intake removed because I needed to route my power steering oil cooler hoses through the site where the stock intake connects to the core support. So I want to reroute my air intake to the fender, and I am trying to figure out search terms to use to find replacement components that will direct it to the passenger side fender. Didn't they come like that on stock NBS trucks? Anyway, all I'm getting when I search for intake parts is dorky cold air intake gimmicks.

I might have a fender off of an '89 with the intake ducting. You can have it if I do.

Martin: No rush or anything, but do you have an estimate for when you'll be able to check and see if you have that ducting laying around? Just trying to plan out my projects and whatnot.

That fender was gone, but I had this one off of a 1990 K30.

This screw holds the front in place.

This piece connects to that duct, and points forward.

Then I realized the 454 air cleaner had a much larger air inlet.

In comparison to the small block air cleaner.

So I thought the ducting wouldn't really work for you.

Then I remembered I had the small block ducting in my hog barn.

Should be the right size for your air cleaner.

If you really wanted to get carried away, you would graft the newer inner fender sheet metal into your older fender.

I have a 91 fender on my truck wonder if it is worth trying to use this for a sir intake.

Mine is a 1991 K3500, nothing at all like your 1992 V10 Suburban fender.

Maybe. It's going to take me a couple weeks to figure that out. My truck currently lives an hour south of me, and I'm in the process of getting it moved up here and a new engine put in. And, I need to compare with what I have already. So I'll be in touch. Thanks!

Copy. I can cut the insides out of that fender if you want it as well.

Took a look at my fender and my openings are a lot wider in diameter. must be a odd thing.

They are COMPLETELY different trucks. I am working with a 1991 K3500, the same as a 1992, or 1993. Your truck was a 1991 V series truck.
