So, 1980 Silverado K5 Blazer, looking for color code...

Is it burnt orange?

Colors for 1980 below

Out of those choices it definitely burnt orange.
I had a 73 with that color and black

The burnt orange in brochure shows burnt orange is metalic flake.

Forty four years of sunlight will change any color...

Try the paint code in the glove box ...or a paint scan on the floor under the seats..

GM had a solid orangy / red in the late ,1970's on trucks

Unfortunately no SPID in the glove box. I have a feeling there were multiple names for the same colors.

Is this your truck or truck you can drive to a body shop. They have a tool that analyzes paint. We had to do my Dads 72 Ranchero when it got door dinged, was not repainted in any original ford white

It could be 66 saddle, 74 russet or 95 orange, I just need to get an original paint chip pamphlet and compare. I would like to find out what it is so I can get a touch up spray can.

Getting a touch up can wont match although it may be close it wont match perfect. We use a phot spectrometer which pretty much gives us the best base to start with and you need a talented eye to spray tint cards to physically match it against a panel. Even within one year the color will have changed so much just using a variant code will not match well.

Napa distribion center in Denver has a paint shop that will use any part you get to them to match the paint. They can make aerosol or paint for a gun. Take your glove box or ashtray or maybe gas door to any Napa and they can make the arrangements. The main store on east hwy 224 is right next door, might be the quickest turn around.

Code 61, Grecian Bronze, original. FB grab I don't think is the same.

Thanks guys, I have some original paint chips with codes coming... this doesn't have to be "exact" just want to paint some new metal and door jams etc. before the whole Blazer gets painted.

Found it, the color is, code 74 Russet Mettalic.
Ended up buying a page out of an old paint chip book from 1980 on ebay.
Before anyone says it's code 62 next to it, that has more brown hues to it and I have the advantage of different angles, sunlight etc.
