Help me identify my rear end! (pictures added)

Slap a D60 under the front springs and you'll have bragging rights of a newer body style with a SFA.

guy on pirate doing a build up.

and its a 4l80-e if auto and just a tail housing ebrake like all motor home units.

If you have the time, some more shots of the front spring hangers would be nice:bow:
I also think there must be a shackle in the front.

The width between the spring pads and the length of the leafs would be very interesting to know as well :ears:

No problem, It's really got me thinking about just putting my cucv axles in this one.:D

I have some ???

Why don't off road guys use the D80? Is it because of availabilty or overkill or just to big with low clearance?

Are all D80 the same so I can just switch it to a 8 lug with a smaller hub and caliper setup?

Some 16" rims I had at the shop don't even come clost to sliding over the rotor and caliper.

dana 60 use bendix brakes.

c3500hd use bendix brakes. just bigger. :D

They'd be some neat parts for rear disc on any full floater if you can fit them under a wheel. I wonder what diameter that rotor is?

That's the first I've seen one of those up close on the underside. Neat trucks indeed. A front axle with a pumpkin and also a t-case, then it would be really neat.

thay are rare but there is k3500hd out there. just not factory. there was 1-2 comp that converted them. used driver drop dana 60 front. and reg 1ton tcase.

thay sit higher and are vary beefy. most i have seen are super plow trucks with sanders on the back and a 9-10 ft plow blade.

there is pics out there just cant find them right now. :( searched for 10 min.
