I think it is a Dana 44
pics no worky
Thats the elusive red "x" axle, you better pic that thing up quick
Sorry, Trying to get a new photo album to coperate. If I cannot get it to work, look here:
That there be a 44
if it has 3 u-bolts then its a d44 front - can't see pics -
pretty sure my 44 has 4 u bolts.
d60's have 3 ubolts
if you go to the properties of the red "x", and copy the URL, you can enter it in to the adress bar and see the pics. and yes, its a 44.
yeah i ment 60 has 3 u-bolts, dana 44 has 4. had it backwards
Looking from the front, just look at the web off the driver, lower side of the housing to see what the number there is. it will tell you idefinately what the axle is. can't see pics.
not always my d44 doesn't have a number on the webing
As do Dodge Dana 44's as well if I do remember correctly
Thats not true either. some 44's used studs. mainly doge 44's but they are still out there. the easieset way to tell if its a 60 is to look for kingpins.
that doesnt even hold true in all cases. late model ones are BJ.
I was waiting for someone to say that...Of course not but the 60's that we are all intersted in are kingpin so it doesnt make a differance...you see ball joints and its not worth your time or money...However if your looking for a 44 it could have 3 or 4 u bolts...

Also if you just see 3 ubolts and think its a 60, well then your pretty much taken for then huh?
yeah, but i could make the arguement that a 44 is not worth the time or money...
