My bud is selling his 3 runs only 37x17 MTR's on H2 wheels for a grand. I have already owned two set of MTR's and love them more than life it self......ok, but close enough. They wheel like a mofo in the rocks.

Now, I did tell him I would give him my 35" MTR's that have about 50% tread depth left and have serious rock rash.

Or I could just buy some new IROKS 5 of em for a grand and keep my wheels.

The Iroks are a great tire, but on the other hand the MTR has proven itself to me.

I am torn.....

How many pavement miles does your truck see? IMHO that'd be the deciding factor.

Jammin out with your clam out is alway a good idea regardles of ''tire'' size or type.:haha:

It is a trail rig only. It gets flat towed to it's wheeling destination.

Flat towing still puts miles on the tires...I'd probably take up your friend's deal. A tire you want and have experience with and will last longer on pavement than an Irok for cheaper than new.

Iroks chunk under a fullsize. One of the AZ guys runs them and they work but I haven't been inpressed with them. My only gripe with MTR's is tearing the sidewalls (2 last season, and 2 more this season), that is usually drive error though.

I loved my mtrs even thought they were only 35s. I heard iroks wear out quick but work well. This is actully a good poll. I say the mtrs just couse you can get a good deal on them. Buy the iroks next year when you want to go bigger + you will already have 17" wheels if you choose to use them :burb:
