2 votes for 33's... I suppose now its just picking a brand... I can get a discount on the pro comps. But i hear good about BFG. Then theres sams club... but then i could go ... well, lotsa choices.

I ask because they (Equal/PJ1) recommends against tires with ribs inside. But maybe because of the one rare circumstance you mentioned, it wasn't 100% for them to back it up.

I had the pro comp MT's. They were a good tire. My only complaint is the sidewall strength. Maybe its just because they are radials but I have slashed 2 of them.
I have had mine for a good 2 years and they still have over 60% tread.

look for mud kings or sport kings i had a set off 33" sport kings and a set of 35" mudkings. these are the same exact tires as the bfg mud and at tires. turns out that they're a generic brand made by bfg (most tire shops wont tell you that so you'll buy the "better"-more expensive tires. The mud/sport kings are much cheaper, and i put about 50,000 on the muds and they are still driveable (and a few burn outs on top of that. The sport kings had 55,000 and they still look awsome. they wore like iron, the only r4eason i got rid of them was for something bigger.

Mud kings are not made by BFG. They are made by a company called Cavalier. That is what was on my Blazer when I first started driving it and I am not the least bit impressed by them. They wore out fast, chunked bad, compound was much harder than the BFG's I had after them. In my experience, the pro-comp mud terrains don't perform quite as well as BFG mud terrains in any respect. The only way I would go with pro-comps is if they were significantly cheaper. My vote goes for BFG's.

If the decision now is Procomp or BFG I will vote for BFG. I have had several sets of there tires and they are good tires. I have had both the AT's and MT's. I personally run Goodyear MTR's and love them. I wouldn't even consider running a set of BFG's or Procomps after having MTR's.
