I have no idea what I want it will have a 31 spline 10 bolt, a aam 14 bolt rear and a cammed 6.0l. My size is a 315/75/16

The truck will see 70% street and 30% offroaf. I really don't want a loud tire either.
Ready set go.:pimp:

Subd

My TRXUS MT's are actually great tires on and offroad. I just want General grabbers because they have a strong sidewall, and will work well aired down in the dunes. Not that ive ever had issues with my tires aired down to 10 psi in the sand and lots of beating......

I really liked the duratracs I had. But really as long as you don't go mt, your good with almost anything.

Mickey Thompson ATZs are awesome. Aggressive tread for an all terrain but still relatively quiet. Plenty of siping for wet and snow traction (though that's not much of a concern for you). I have them on my Tahoe and they kick ass.

I keep leaning to a general grabber but I hear they are a axle killer. But 70% of the time it will be on the street and they are awesome.

Ill argue you with that point with my post above

Bagh. Truxus is hardly an mt. More like an aggressive at.

The mickeys do seem popular. And honestly, the look of the grabbers don't do it for me. Tho they do seem to be a good tire. I also feel like with a 10 bolt, if an axle is going to break with grabbers, it would probably break with about any other 35. Tho I don't have any personal experience there.

Very surprised nobody mentioned the BFG A/T KO. I have them on my k5, I have hit serious mud and trails with them.. Rocks too. And they grab good and stick. They are great tires I have no complaints. Also on the street you can't barely tell your NOT rolling on regular old street tires. And they last 60,000 + miles of you take care of them. And they are on the less expensive side of the all terrain/mT world. I love them, I think they are in the top 2 if not the best all terrain out there. And did I mention they look B/A

Many people have run 35's on 10-bolt fronts before. It doesn't seem like a huge breaking risk to me unless you have a front locker and throttle it through rocks. Without seeing some numbers I have a hard time believing that brand A radial 35 is significantly different in weight/break risk than brand B radial 35.

Unless the tires in question are significantly heavier than ones of a different brand or tread.

Except he will have a very healthy LQ4 in the front of his rig. I vote for anything in the 35 range.

They are new but I hear good things about these

I kind of like the idea of a bfg at ko2

I think estimated around 300hp to the wheels.

at that size its all pretty much the same.
I'm on my 3rd set of duratracs.
loving them so far.

but any of the more modern aggressive AT's seem like it fill that role really well.

boggers!!!

Just put the 3rd set of 35" BFG MTs on my blazer. Open 10 bolt w/ 4.56s and a cammed up 5.7 hasn't been a problem for 15 years.

Maybe I'm the only one that feels this way but I think that on a classic 4x4 like a k5 or suburban, the BFG KO looks better then the more modern styled ko2. They perform the same off-road? My buddy has ko2s on his land cruiser and we go the same places, through the same ****.... Etc. I just really like the classic look of the KO. Cheaper too.

Dick cepek fun country. Very good tire, same carcass as coopers and mickeys. good on the street. Aggressive enough tread for some playing. Have them on my canyon, and my 3/4 ton.

The new BFGoodrich All Terrain TA KO2's ROCK!

I put a set on my 99 Burb and I love them. Great in snow, great in rain, great in dirt, durable, and silent. They actually make my big ass rig feel nimble on pavement.

I keep hearing people say asinine things like "Redesigned? All they changed was the sidewall" and they are just wrong. If you look closely at the tread they are reminiscent of the old tread, but every part of it has changed. Also the compound is more advanced.

It's still not a mud tire and will pack up like any AT, but for the use you described, I think you would be very impressed.

Duratracs are good too, but I hear they wear fast and have sidewalls that get cut up pretty easily.
