Help me please.Tranny

1987 Jimmy w/ 700r4,33" tires, 4.10 gears. I towed my boat home tonight (approx 30 miles) and noticed that there is tranny fluid all over the back window. I normaly tow the boat in drive instead of overdrive. I looked under the truck to find 2 small wet spots of fluid about the size of a CD disk. The fluid lines entering the tranny are dry. It seems to be coming from the bell housing. What could have happened? Maybe just a seal I'm hoping? Any replies sure would help.

Take the flywheel cover plate and see if it is dowsed with atf inside.
