help me spend my tax return...poll inside...

how should i spend my tax return????

i figured with returns coming i would buy myself a little something something for my truck....i have it narrowed down to a couple of things but figured i'd ask you all what you think. the rest of the return is going to pay off some of my bills for sure...right now my truck's body looks very stock and i kind of like it, but i really want a winch and some more "front end protection":D
so one of my options is DIY4X's gauntlet bumper...the baddest bumper around. this would cost about 650 plus shipping to FL. so that's the most expensive.

also, i have crossover, and a tad bit of DW left, so hydro steer is going to happen, i just don't know if it will quite yet you know. this option would cost about 200 or so.


3rd option would be some 1.5in wheel spacers front and rear.. i really like the look of tires sticking out and i've always wanted to run some on my truck. these would cost about 300bucks for a good set. these would be the only option that would really be for looks since i don't need them you know


and last but not least, the GM performance parts serpentine setup... i have a brand new motor(GM) and im still running my 1983 Vbelt crap. almost everytime i go wheeling im having to replace belts cause they get wet and start slipping and such.

Serp belt is a good idea, but you could just go to a yard and probably grab the whole setup from a late model for cheaper.

Bumper is also good. You get that big ass truck stuck and it will be nice to have something strong to easily hook onto. Not to mention next time an ugly ass Furd with a 10" hockey puck lift parks next to you, you could easily push it to the other side of the parking lot.:D

OK stop the DW first!! that bumper is bada$$ . i want one myself:bow::bow: good luck with it. opps i see that it has a d60. have you tryed shims under the top caps.
 
haha...yeah no kidding...that guy argued with me the otherday trying to tell me his 1/2ton running gear was as strong as my one tons.....then he said that his 38thornTURNDS would outmud my tsl's b/c his knobbies on the outside of the tire have more grip than mine. haha.
 
I thought you were trying to sell it? :confused: Or do I have it mixed up with someone elses??? But anyway, I would go Hydro and bumper if you can swing it.
 
yeah, i put it for sale to fund the house im building...but i can't stand to sell it...but as you know, anything is for sale for the right price :) but it's my baby....not putting that extra 10k or so down only raised my payment like 30-40 a month or so on my mortgage, so i figured i'd just keep her.
 
I would have to go with the bumper, only cause it would look sick on your truck. Its also nice to have strong mounting points for when you get stuck.
 
Hydro Assist, Cosmetics vs Driveability, id go driveability and fix the DW first.

Btw, your truck looks bad ass with the chrome bumpers as it sits.
 
thanks man...yeah, i actually fogot that i get a bonus at the end of the month also....so im probably gonna go with the bumper and hyrdo assist. :)
 
Im assuming it sees a good amount of time on the street and I think an aftermarket bumper would take away from how awsome your truck looks!!!

I vote for hydo assist.

x2, get the serp belt and the asessory plate/asessories 4 it at you pull it, mod your ps pump, and do the hydro, and maystill have sum $ left, for some relays,switches,and lights and light bar b4 you hit 650...if you shop wisely
 
"badass bumper from BLAZENOFFROAD" , its cheaper and better looking!! Then you can afford either rock sliders or $170 tube doors.Im getting all 3 for not much more than just there bumper.Nothing against them ,I was going to buy one of theres untill I saw Blazens . Just trying to save some cash. Living on SSI I have to pinch EVERY penny :(

Well then post prices then . blazenoffroad doesnt even compare to kerts ! but thats my opp
 
the Gauntlet is $455+ anything you want added and is beefy as hell and would look totally badass on 01maroonz71s truck. All of Blazenoffroads have stingers and the HD one is $755+ want you want added. Price difference is HUGE there.
