I swapped engines into a K30 with hydro boost, the K30 pump mounts different than the other truck, but I cannot figure out how to mount it.
I searched some wrecker yards today but couldn't find a truck with the same bracket.
Anybody give me some direction, I think I am missing something.

You are trying to mount a PS pump with big block mounts on a small block. Get small block PS mounts.

Here is a picture on how your set up is suppose to mount on a big block.

Big block accessories mounts for the long water pump hardly changed from 1973 to the late eighties. There could be slight changes at the end of the production run.
Unfortunately for you, there where many changes to the small block accessories mounts, and I’m only familiar with the 73, 74 mounts.
Is the boss in your water pump threaded?
Oh yeah, you're going to have to remove the pully from the PS pump to change brackets.

Thank for the info, the previos owner did say he removed a big block from the truck, but when I searched the vin it said it was a 350 engine. I just bought a PS pump puller and I will change out the mounting bracket.
Thanks again.

Well that didn't go very well, the bracket does not fit due to the larger hydro boost pump. Guess I will have to go digging for one at the wrecker tomorrow.

Hmmm, from the looks of things, that reservoir looks like it might of came from a small block. There is not much adjustment in that upper bracket. Big blocks with power steering usually come with a can with remote reservoir, but mostly one can adapt the SBC reservoir with BBC brackets like I did.
However, your reservoir is larger than normal plus it has two returns(one for the steering box and one for the hydroboost.) I think your reservoir that came with that truck, but like I said earlier there is a lot small block brackets out there. You just going to have to find the right brackets.

You need to try a different pump....84 van w/ hydroboost Has the narrow cannister with 2 hose fittings Autozone part# 7055 or 7079 can't remember which......

I remember from looking that Van's have a real tall bracket, are the frames different in a van? Or can I take one off a van to use?

It's the same p-style pump,, Just a different cannister on the back.. The van/ style cannister fit very nicely on the sbc brackets.. The van pump bolt's in the same as the truck pump.
