Well my Blazer blew a 33. It's been sitting now since I don't now what I want to do now. I was going to take the 241 out (slip joint don't like lift) and swap a 205 in. And was also thinking about putting a 44 &14bff in. I just put all new brakes on the 10 bolts that are in there now. I have alot of money in her so, I only do light wheeling with it. Manly for road. Should I bother putting the 3/4 ton axels in? I want to build another K5 just for wheeling, so should I bother putting eveything into the one I have now? Like I said this one is manly street use, but I want 35's on it. Just buy 35's, keep the 241 in, and get her back on the road? Thanks for your input!

If you want to build another rig just for wheelin', why not just put the 35's on what you got? Put your money (axles, 205) into the off road only rig. You should be able to "ease around" on the pavement with the 35's as long as it is not a gov bomber in the rear.

its amazing how a little thing like blowing out a tire leads us to swap out axles and transfer cases!!!

I just changed my mind 4 times on the way home, as to what I should do. Maybe I should just sit in it nekked.:haha:

It's just the vibration from the 241 slipyoke that bothers me. And I think the one rear axel seal was leaking alittle. Maybe just slap on new meats, and drive it till I have a real reason to swap something.

If you think you are getting vibs from the slip I would correct it by going lower in height or but a SYE kit. Personally, I would use that rig as a trail rig. full 'vert blazers are cool rigs.:waytogo:

I'm going to yank the 241 out, but I'm in no rush yet. I can't have the SKYY ask a trail rig, I was thinking about it. But I have a new rig coming on saturday. I have too much work in it, and too much fun with the SKYY driving it as a DD in the summer.

put 35s and maybe a cv driveshaft? is it that kind of vibes? keep the full vert pretty IMO. i have had no problems with my 35s and 10bs.

is your rear axle even angled with some shims?? that will take out most of the vibes...

I just got new 33's, keep it for road. When the t-case blows then I'll take care of it.
