I am getting ready to tear it down and put new gaskets and seals in. If you have the values please respond with RED= BLUE= etc.. (KISS, since Im stupiiiiid).

I can put it back together and snug the bolts, torque them when I get the info.

THANKS MUCH!

How to keep cool in the blistering heat and baking sun... Got on sale at Dick's Sporting Goods, around $60!

A pic of the D-Day Memorial in Bedford, VA (an hours drive for me), thought Id post it since Im retired from the 29th Infantry Division, 1/116- the same unit that was first to land-

I honestly have never actually torqued any t case bolts before :dunno:, I always use some blue loctite, and try to tighten them in a crisscross pattern. Don't go crazy since it is only an aluminum case just use German torque- "Goodentight" ;)

On a side note I have that exact same canopy from dicks, we use when we go to the races (four wheelers ) or sometimes for cook outs :D

just remember, all fasteners have a torque spec based on grade and size... most 3/8 grade 8's are in the 30 to 35 lb range.. grade 5's down around 25...

iirc, all the bolts pictured are 3/8-16..... I would say 30 is fine.. personally, I just went with the German method..

here's a bolt torque chart....

Dank! Goodntite!

Actually, I think Ill go with 30ftlbs and be off with it!

Just got back from Auto Zone, the gasket kit I got was wrong, and expensive... so I returned it for some grey RTV (Permatex) and engine degrease.. :waytogo:

I hope to have ready this evening..

THANKS MUCH!
