Im in the process of redoing my 87' suspension/axles and i cannot decide on a lift/tire size. I currently am running a 6" and 37's. Its to tall for me and the springs are no name and hard as a rock. im looking at 4" and 33's but i dont know if that will "look stupid" by stupid i mean tires to small and lift to high. any suggestions? I plan on mostly street driving but i want to take it to trails on the weekend. The body is in great shape so i am dead set on not trimming fenders.

here is a older pic a few months after i bought it and did some work. it came with(what i was told) a 6" lift and those are 37" tires does that look like a 6" lift?

if those truely measure 37...i think that lift may be an inch or two higher than 6.

About your other questions. 4" lift and 33s looks okay, but 4" and 35s looks better, in my opinion.

4'' and 35's is the route i'm looking to go, I think it looks good. That's nice clean K5, I would not want to cut on it either!

:sign17: Definitely looks taller than a 6" lift, if those are 37s.

Also, keep it simple. If you're mainly street-driving it, don't fall into the 52/56 spring swap. Just get some good riding springs and shocks and call it good. You might do 2" lift springs in the rear with a 4" shackle flip. Most around here will recommend Tuff Country or BDS. Skyjackers are good too, but I've seen those and Tuff Countrys on the same truck and the Tuff Country springs ride nicer. They're pretty soft springs, so don't skimp on shocks either or your ride will be mushy.

If you don't wanna cut fenders at all, even when articulating on the trails, for 35s you'll need 5-6" of lift. But that combo looks good IMO. Especially on a clean truck.

I like the stance just the way it is. :dunno: Looks fine to me but I would still raise the rear a bit more so its not so ass heavy.

hmm never thought i had bigger than a 6" lift on it. either way it has zero flex and rides like a train on gravel. I will do a 4" with 33's anyone got any pics of that setup? ive been through the sticky but i only found a handful of that setup
