Hi - I have a 1991 Blazer which I removed the front drive shaft about a year ago to help trouble shoot a driveline issue. I put all the parts in a box which ended up sitting on the floor in my garage, and along the way the box collected other odds and ends, including nuts and bolts. I thought it would be a pretty straight forward replacement, but having some issues. 1) I can't recall if there needs to be a gasket/seal between the drive shaft and TC flange. I am also having are hard time to get it to line up so its flush. 2) since I have several different size bolts scattered, I need to know what is the correct size for bolting the DS end to the TC, and which side the bolts are inserted, or does it matter. Appreciate the feedback, having a brain freeze on this. Thanks

No gasket, 7/16-14 x 1.5" (takes a 5/8" socket) bolts go in from the front, the flanges fit tightly together, it will go together just fine once you get the bolts in.

I just had mine off...

You need the pinion flanged nut and a thick washer the same hole diameter. I took the ujoint off the front and put the yoke on then the pinion nut and washer and impacted it on. I then bolted the ujoint back up to the yoke and shaft and put in the four bolts in the back.

Done Deal, Thanks!

I got it in yesterday before the snow storm here in VA. Thanks for the feedback.

If you've had the yoke off the pinion shaft, you might have messed up your preload. I'd not abuse it too much until you can check it.
