HELP !!!! rear spring question..

I'm in the middle of installing a new set of springs and shackle flips.

57" custom spring pack...

The spring eye to center bolt distance is longer on one end.

The spring has a double wrap on one spring eye. this is the short side.

Which side faces the front spring hanger ??

Long side or short side

The double wrap end should be facing forward. It's a safety in case the main leaf breaks the diff doesn't come out from under the truck...

Hmmmm,,,makes sense,,,,I was hoping the long end went forward,,,
it would stretch out my wheelbase a little.

but that would put the double wrap at the shackle end....
