Ok I changed my tie rod ends fron the steering gear box to the steering arm on my 75 K20 truck. Used the ES2234R part number that was recommended by fellow CK5ers in the part number section. The issue I am having is the threaded part that is tapered with castle nut and cotter pin is to long and after tightening the castle nut all the way down threads it still is not tight and slops around. What am I doing wrong or what didnt I do right. Now when I ran the part number it says it is for a 81 up truck but however it does thread into my offset steering center link. Is the steering arm and pitman arm on a 75 a different thickness than a 81 up? Please help this is my DD andneed to get it fixed ASAP.

What axle is this for? It sounds like you got the large taper for the 1 ton axles. I think D44 and 10 bolts use a different taper.

Also did you replace the ends on your tierod or your draglink because those are different.

Dik

Draglink if that is the small arm from the gear box to the steering arm. It is not the stock one it kinda is z shaped. so that it is not bound up. Not sure what axles it has. I will post pics of axle and part in few secs brb

You can see on the front one where I put washers under nut and then put old nut on top to get cotter pin to work tempararily.

Ya but that part number is for factory ones and they are threaded only part of the way up shaft and way longer than what I need so will not work in my center link between the 2

how long are the ones you are using.

It is 5 7/8 long from threaded end to other end but has to be cut down to roughly 4 inches and then 4 inches tall from bottom to top where castle nut goes on. I can post pic of old one that worked but was worn out next to new one.

what was the part # of the old one.
that part # you are using is a tie rod end. The drag link has a different taper that the tie rod.

I dont know what the old ones part number is it dont have any on it from what I have been able to see. Ok well that explains why they wont work. Anyone know the part number for the drag link ends that will work with my current center link?

there is a Super Lift dealer in Manhatten, Ks. You might give them a call. That is what you dropped drap link looks like, compared to Sky Jackers.

Ya I ordered a new one few secs ago off ebay was like 95 bucks. Its exactly like mine. I put old ends back on for now so no bad road accidents happens. The dealer in Manhatten is Film at Eleven and they are idiots down there. And kinda high priced on stuff. They are the ones wanting 200 for new one. Thanx tho. By the way the lift worked great for me on the Blazer. Now its for sale since got new toy.
