its stuck on top!!

i dont know which part has the problem.. all i see is that the motor is working.. but i am not sure if the cable is the problem or anything else.. i tried spinning the cable manually but with no luck.. any troubleshooting tips?

thanks

the linkage cable which connects with the motor..a friend told me to try to spin the inner part of the cable manually.. as that should make the window go up or down..

Yeah I know, what did you try and spin it with?

You won't get anywhere like that.
Try using a small 1/4" socket ( 11/64 IIROC) on a cordless drill.

after doing that?? if it moves then the motor aint strong enough?? and if it doesnt move the cable is bad?
or could it be the window regulator?

If it moves up and down smoothly with the drill then I would say the motor has gotten too weak. I would put a little grease on the regulator and spray some silicone lube in the weatherstrip rails too.:D

window moved a little bit then the cable broke!!

is there a possibility that the regulator transmission is stuck or the rails??

I had the same problem. I hooked the cordless drill to mine as well and snapped the cable. It had rusted up and seized. Bought another one from LMC for 26.95. Fixed that problem in my blazer but my motor is still weak, but at least I can get my window up and down:D
