So I bolted the remanned q jet I got from JEGS yesterday. She started right up, and all we screwed with was the idle because when it was low it wanted to die. When it go up to temp, it sounded like the idle was erratic. Started screwing with the idle again and ended up stalling it. At this time the engine was a little hot (around 200 degrees) we couldn't get it to start back up. Let it cool down to around 175, and pushing the choke flap closed a little bit we got it running again.
Now, keep in mind, neither of us (me and my buddy) know much about the q jet (ie how to tune it). I got some stuff I've yet to read about it, but I need to eventually.
Any ideas?
Vapor lock? I don't have the canister hooked up, just a small line running off the vent on top of the tank.
Could it be boiling the fuel?

I'm learning more and more everyday with this project, and up until now it's mostly been learning by doing. I've come a long ways, that's for sure
