Blazer had a small block radiator in it before I got it.
I put in a big block radiator.
The two moutning brackets that you bolt on to the top onto the firewall are now too short. I need the ones off a truck that had a deisel or a 454 in it.

Does anyone have a set of these? LMC can only get one of them. Dealership can only get one of them. The other has been discontinued.

Help?

Re: HELP - Upper radiator support brackets for 454 or deisel

How much do you want to pay for shipping (that will determine how fast they get there)? I can send them out tomorrow, dont think I can get them out today.

Actually if you ship them out tomorrow, that would be cool. And whatever shipping is fine.

I got the small block ones holding it on there now. And I am going to be working on the cage next, so it wont be driving and the current ones are 'holding' the radiator in place while it sits still.

So, it all sounds good to me... you?
I'll send you a pm in a second.

You still willing to ship these?

HOLD THE PHONE....
did you make sure they are the right years?
there are differences between nose clips.
just trying to help, i went through (HELL) a lot of trouble until
some one around here told me about chevyduty and I got the RIGHT upper mount (single piece)

Mine is an '85... there are two brackets. Never seen on that didnt have 2 brackets.

The stock Blazer ones wont work with a 4 core radiator... ie a 454 or deisel radiator.

I need the ones that are about the length of your hand.

73-80 got a one piece mount and the 81-87,91 got a 2 piece mount but ther is 2 different ones on the 81-87,91 trucks.

the difference is between the 17" core and the 19" core. the 19" core ones bolt on top and the 17" core bolt on the back (engine) side of the core support, the support will take both but there is a difference.

its easy to tell what radiator you have cause the 19" core comes allmost to the top and the 17" core is 2" shorter. /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

Oh, its the old Blazers that have the one piece bracket.

Mine bolt on to the top of the radiator support. And then extend over the radiator. My current ones are just too short and dont extend far enough into the engine bay in order to 'cup' over the radiator.

I compared to my buddy's mid 80's dually that used to be a deisel and is now a 454. So, it has the deisel radiator in it. And those are definaly what I need.
