That's true, I never thought of that. He was all fine and dandy when I was asking simple quick answer yes/no type questions but as soon as I started to get to the bottom of things he got angry and cut me off.roadnotca said:

Not much to compare between those two trucks due to the distance. NY will also have much bigger rust issues you don't see in CA.Avery4jc said:

No I think I'll pass. I sent him a pretty good e-mail and he hasn't responded back so I'm sure he realized that I know more than the average joe that is looking to buy it. I told him to keep my e-mail though and if he changed his mind to let me know.
I'd gladly go take some parts off of it for him.

Just come over to my house and get the 14ff, D44 and use the 2w/dr steering box for crossover. Upgrade your axles and be smog legal. Or, sell your current truck, find a cheap daily driver rice burner, and get a 73-75 junker and build it how you want. No smog inspection hassle, ever. Only problem... time and money!!!

Avery, you're kicking tires, and the guy knows it. and you're getting pissed about him knowing you're wasting his time? give me a break! it pisses me off when i get someone who just comes to look at something i've got for sale. actually had a kid stop and look at my Grand Am in the spring, just wanted to look at the stereo. didnt care if it ran or not. that lasted about 30 seconds before i sent him on his way.
I agree with beater on this one it pisses me off when people who "KNOW" there not gonna buy the vehicle in question waste my time with stupid piddly **** Avery this guy obviously figured you were wasting his time and that you obviously were a "Tire Kicker" I've had about ten people call to come look at my truck and then say "ah I can;t afford that"

Wow this came out of left field. I would have been more than happy to go take a look at it and for the right price a running 3+3 long bed w/ a 454, 14ff/d60 of course I would have sold my truck and picked this up from him, I would be stupid not to have done it.
I posted and asked everyone's opinions before I made a trip to his house (about two hours) and the general consensus was that it looked very rough, had a screwy lift, questionable engine and other items that made me wonder so I passed. Why would you come on days later and post looking for a fight? Not getting one anymore, I promised Paul.

I'm not picking a fight .But you were not in positon to buy that truck you did not have money in hand. if you would have decided you want the truck you would have to "sell yours first" I agree the Crewcab looks a bit rough. but sounds to me like the guy knew you were full of BS about wanting his truck and decided to not waste his time. and then you go send him a nasty e-mail saying that he's trying to rip people off with this truck. your a young'n so I'll let it slide but don't enter into negotons on something until you have cash in hand.

not looking for a fight either. was actually the first i saw of the post, and its less than 48 hours after the last reply. some of us dont have time to read every thread on CK5, we have lives.
more than once, i've seen a truck that looked like hell in pictures, and in person, really wasnt that bad. this could be one of them.
