I have an '87 k5. I have the miss-matched ujoint to fit my 12 bolt posi. My question is: If I'm out on a road and I break my ujoint, I'd like to just slide the driveshaft out and drive it home in 4X4. How do I keep the fluit from running out the back of the transmission when I pull the splined yoke out???? I'm sure someone knows or has figured otu what to do?

Thanks,
Brandon

Well, you could change the t-case out for something that doesn't have a slip joint.
When I change t-cases and trannys out I get a good heavy duty plastic bag with a thick rubber band and seal it up. Kinda like a condom. Not sure how it would handle on the road but, pretty sure it would work.

I've seen a cut up plastic bottle and duct tape used before.

ha thats actually a good idea. you can carry a extra slip yolk to just throw in there. seen that done. had my rear drive shaft break driving down the road, i just took it out and drove it home, only lived like 4 blocks away
