Hey guys,

I want to rebuild the front and rear axles, and having trouble finding the right parts, so was hoping someone could help me out.

I don't have the luxury of pulling out parts to then order as I'm on the road (and in Holland) with limited access to a garage to do this. I can take it all apart and replace, but have to be out by the end of the day once I start replacing.

I have a stock (as far as I'm aware) 1989 K5 Blazer so it is possible to know without taking things apart to know exactly what I would need?

As I said, the parts need to be ordered in one go at the same time due to shipping over from the US etc.

What I have and need is the following...

And this is what I'm going by...

I can't figure out, and completely baffled, about what parts these are...

260
267
268
269
270

Also I'd like to buy Moog (non-greaseable) U-Joints, but again too may to chose from, however I wonder if what I have listed are correct. I'll be replacing all U-Joints under the car.

And the rear axle, I'm lost with the right bearing.

Thanks in advance guys!

Those are all part of the Outer Bearing Assembly. If you truck is already in driving condition, you may just want to replace the seals after repacking the bearings with new grease. Other than that, I wouldn’t bother replacing any of that. If your able to drive it and nothing is literally missing from the assembly, just get a couple of new seals and grease, repack the bearings and call it good.

Understood.

However there is play in the front and nothing has been done on the truck for 20 years, sitting for 10 and will be going for a major trip this year, so want to change as much as I can before the trip, hence wanting to change it up a little.

While it up in the air and things can be changed it's worth doing, that's my thinking.

The issue with the 'seals', the ones I don't have any part numbers for, is that I don't know what seals I need to order :-(

If you're going to change balljoints, that's a good time to change the axleshaft U-joints. I think what @BoondocK5 is saying is if the wheel bearings are good and they're the good old stuff, then swapping them for modern bearings of unknown origin may have no benefit.

In the ideal scenario, you figure out where the play is coming from first and then order parts. Pull things around with a tire in the air, put prybars on all of the moving parts, watch while someone else steers, etc. Wouldn't it be sad to wait for parts, use your time scrapping out some good parts and when it's back together, the play is still there so you start over?
