Or one with an aftermarket tranny. I have a sun coast trans and convertor in mine, it's going on 210,000 trouble free miles !!! A whole lot of those are stop and go city towing

well I think I've narrowed my search down. I don't want to deal with the bad tranny issue of the dodges, and the only chevys that fit in my price range are the early diesels with the injector issues. As much as I hate to say it.....it looks like I'll be going F**D
went and checkout out a 2000 f350 last night. nice setup lifted, new tires, needs a few minor things, low miles. It had a little stumble when you first stepped on the gas but would go away as soon as it got moving. I'm thinking maybe a bad injector. for the price he wants I could replace all 8 injectors and still bebelow the asking price of others I've been looking at...hmmmm
now my major issue is my bank. They won't cut me a check to pay the guy. They gave me 2 options:
#1: both of us have to go to my bank(2hours from him, only open 7-4 weekdays) to sign over the pink and get him a check.
#2: have him sign over the pink and bring it to the bank myself and they'll mail him a check.
BOTH options are
no person in their right mind will let a stranger drive off with their truck and pink without getting paid. So I need to talk with them about working something else out or I guess I have to see if I can get a loan from another place, which I don't' really want to do since my credit union gives me really good rates.

I've had that problem before. That's the problem with doing credit union loans. I got lily that my last car was a dealer so they worked better but I still had to do some driving for the signatures
