I’m tryin to help my uncle with his truck. Not sure the year early 2000s dodge dakota V6. He put a new battery, turned key, click, then nothin.
I went out to help him. Cleaned all the terminals had buncha buildup. Turn the key and nothing happens. All the lights come on, pulled every fuse looks good. I swapped the starter relay with the parking lamp relay. No change. There’s a small wire that runs down the battery cable to the starter. I put power straight from the battery to it and it made the starter turn over. Still no start. We just got a foot of snow and cold AF. So left it alone for tonight. Hoping you guys had some ideas. Thanks.
