So I need to change out the calipers on my Explorer.... What is on there now is a Phenolic (plastic?) piston, which I thought was actually ceramic. But when I choose a replacement, I can either choose a caliper with the OE Phenolic style piston or a metal piston.

Which is better?

Thanks!

metal is better imo,

The only thing i can bring to this post is that the phenolic piston can't corrode or rust like a steel piston will over time.
