help with gas leaking

so while wheeling the past few weeks,
I always fill up with gas on the way to the park, and whenever i'm on a fairly steep hill, the gas comes a pouring out the door. I thought maybe it was my crappy old gas cap so I replaced that, but it still does it.

any ideas? its getting really quite annoying having it pour out the side. I guess my next option is to park on a steep hill and start looking around at it to see whats up

Can you easily blow through the gas cap? Somewhere I read the EVAP equipped trucks (which by your time was probably almost all of them) caps didn't vent until 16PSI. So no fluid should get out even under moderate pressure. I've tried it on a few C/K truck caps I collected, not one of them can I blow through.

I was trying to replace an old vented cap I had, and it was impossible to find one locally (new) that was vented.
