i ordered a set of vortec heads and matching carb intake from scroggin dickey in 2003 or 04. i remember they were called off road use only heads when i ordered them..the spec sheet that came with them said they were 210 or 220cc heads with 2" intake and 1.55 sodium filled exhaust valves. i remember talking to the guys at scoggins when i called back to order the special intake bolts & gaskets that i couldnt find locally. they told me what ever i did dont allow any1 to talk me into 2.02/1.94 valves, they said it would ruin the velocity in the head. i remember them telling me that they were special, just like the aluminum fast burn's but in steel. several years later i saw "fast burn" steel heads advertised made with both perimeter and centerbolt valve cover bolts and also the different intake patterns. my heads do not have the different patterns. i think my heads predate these. the heads are casting #12558062 and every shop i talk to tries to tell me that they are just reg ole vortec production heads but i know the are not according to the spec sheet that was with each. i cant find anything about them.
