help with hood body line

I cant seem to get my hood to line up with my fender.
Whats the process for this?
I have the fender skirts out so i can reach the hood hinge bolts with the hood closed. I had my wife sit on the hood and it was flush with the fender. I tightened all the hood bolts and it pops up in the back as when im done.
Any suggestions?

I had that problem before I removed my hood. I was told once that the hinges were worn out. When I removed them they did have some rivet issues and the springs were kinda stretched out. I have not put my hood on yet but I did buy new hinges for when I do.

yup, need hinges... too many yrs run dry...

check the rivits in the hood for slop. The way to bring the back of the hood down is to loosen the 3 hinge bolts on the fender, push the hood all the way up in the air and tighten the hinge bolts. It will pull the back of the hood down.
