Just bought a set on 15 X 10 Cragar Black Soft 8 wheels for '91 GMC. After putting them on, I noticed a clicking noise when going down the road. More noticeable when I apply the brakes on. I replaced the same size wheels (15 x 10), however the previous wheels had 3.625 backspace and the new Cragers have 4 in backspace. Could this be the source of my problem? I check and didn’t see anywhere that was making contact. Something is making that noise. Am I going to need to consider spacers for each wheel?

Thanks

unless somthing is rubbing the rim you have other problems.

its called the senuse disease = since you touched it now this is wrong. :haha:

Dunno if this is any help mate, but I had a set of 16.5 rims on one of my blazers, they were off a Nissan Patrol, they clicked as well, it was the wheel weights just hitting the tie rod end

ya now so many years working on cars and seeing just that i forgot to post it.

some deeper backspace rims with wheel weights on will just contact the tie rod end.

Mine clicked one time drivng down the highway got where I was going, to pull my bro out. Stopped to look and it was dark couldnt see anything but felt the center cover over the front hub was loose. Went to drive down the hill and the wheel fell off all the lugs broke off the hub.
