Not the best pic but you can see my rear shackle is basically straight up and down. I searched and read a bunch on shackle angles and it seems like it should be pointed backwards a bit more. Will going to longer shackles (say 5 or 6") help with this or is it ok as is? I don't really want to lift it any more though (already at about 6").

I was planning on getting the DIY shackles anyway, so if i need to go longer, now would be a good time...

thanks!

I've got the same problem and question. My angle gets better when I load down the bed with weight, but even with the back full and the hardtop on it's pretty close to straight. I know one option is to use 56" springs?

I've got 2" TC 52's now and 0-rates. Would 2" 56's equal the same lift height?

i have the opposite problem you have right now...too much angle...a longer shackle will just lift your truck more not change the angle...the only way to fix that is move the flip foward a little bit but dont go to much or your angle will look like mine...its a double edge sword to little no flex to much not good for the springs...they said right around 45 degrees is about right...anyway here is mine...

you might loose a lil lift w/56s and iff you do that you will need longer shackles also...still might be too much angle...just move the flip foward 1.5 or 2 inches..

ok, so just leave it or move the flip forward a bit...

I've been wheelin it like this for a couple years, but I figure there's always room for a little improvement :)

It looks like you have the ORD flip right? Can't you just swap the brackets to the other side and get a better angle? Or are they already flipped?

I don't know if its a problem . Mine is close to straight up , and I just wheel the crap out of the Blazer .
x2. My shackles do move well when the truck flexes though....doesnt look like they could go much farther. BTW, its an old echobit flip (anyone remember them:doah: )...yeah I was one of the lucky ones that ACTUALLY got mine. Just barely though.:doah:

Sorry the pic is blurry and it isnt near all the way flexed.

Yeah, but good luck finding them. I think superlift makes the only ones and they are $$$ ($565 a pair). Or you could go custom.
