Hey there, I am out of town, and trying to get measurements on the wheelbase of my 1985 4x4 Full size blazer to get it onto a tow cart. I have 33" tires. I need to know if anyone knows the weight of a blazer (I am out of town so I can't look in my manual), and I am needing the front to back tire distance axle to axle center, and the outside tire to outside tire distance across the vehicle. Anyone ever moved one on a BUDGET RENTAL full trailer behind a moving truck? It is out of their specs, but the car tower will hold 4200 lbs, and one called an ACC is 15.5 ft long for wheels, and another is called TCC which is 16 ft. I have to move across the country this weekend form Chicago to Florida, and the best shipping rate was like $850 to ship it. Way too much. The car tower is $320 and I have to confirm the dolly before I get back home to Chicago this weekend which is when I am moving to Florida. Any help on specs would be greatly appreciated!

Details clarification?

Can you tell what the axle to axle length is? Is it 104 inches? I can't quite tell from the other posting. It also looks to be 73 inches outside to outside of the vehicle. Can anyone tell if that is correct? I zoomed in but it got foggy. GVW looks to be 6100 lbs. If the capacity is 3750, is the difference the tow weight of the vehicle? I can't tell from this, and really need this piece of info. Seems there is the limit on weight that the car carrier can carry.

Tare Weight

Anyone know the TARE weight of the 1985 blazer? They don't seem to keep it in the specs. I have a trailer that will hold 4200 lbs. I need to konw the 4x4 weight with a 5.0L engine.

1885 Blazer/Jimmy base models were 4462 curb weight (diesels were 4846). That's with no passengers.

I wonder if I took the back seat out, kept it low on fuel, and took out everything possible I could put it on the 4200 lb trailer that budget offers with the rental to drive it cross country. Any ideas? I have the 305 engine in it. That would take a few pounds off also...

Notes: The 1985 Blazers had much wider body color panel between upper, and lower grilles, and the grilles had only a single horizontal bar intersected by seven vertical bars. The headlight housing had more of a vertical look than last year's, although the rectangular lamps were stacked atop each other again. An amber-colored parking lamp was standard on the bottom, but when halogen high-beams were ordered, the parking lamps moved behind the lower grille.
Blazers featured a steel half-cab with an integral roll bar built into the steel front compartment roof and lock pillar structures.
