Just had a nice front end colision in my 1990 K5. Now im dealing with the insurrance and they want to total it ! umm no !

can Any of you guys lead me into a direction to find "new" ( as in after market or likewise) front end bumper, driverside quarter panel, grill, hood, and such?

thanks matt

Local craigslist, get used or LMC sheetmetal. Its really THIN and never fits right.

How about letting them total it, get the money, buy it back, THEN rebuild it?

Shouldn't be much work/expense to get it back to "normal" as long as you don't need frame straightening.

Sounds like an opportunity to upgrade your bumper. Be patient and you'll find people on here selling the other parts you need. Just make sure and haggle with the insurance company on the value of the vehicle. They ALWAYS try to lowball you.

Do you have a Certafit in town? check the phone book, their stuff actually fits...

Also try YearOne, they tend to have quality sheet metal that isn't too thin, still chinese, but not as bad.
