first off im a noob to k5 ownership and im new to ck5 but i tried to search a little and didnt see a help im in the middle of something forum or find any exact answers to my problem through searches of the site...
and i tried the paper clip to A and B and couldnt figure out the flashes and pauses to save my life lol

ive got a 1988 k5 with the tbi 350...
it had a rough idle which i determined through a vacuum test to be the map sensor which i replaced however while i was putting the air cleaner assembly back on i bumped the injector connectors and the plastic (i guess original and brittle) broke on one.
now at idle its at 500rpm and stumbles around a couple hundred rpm when it misses and also my oil pressure gauge is out of whack...
i dont think the 2 are unrelated since it has good power and doesnt seem to be missing at highway sppeds.
could my problem be that i need to replace the injector connectors and reset the computer and itll go back to normal?

thanks to anyone who can shed some light on my issue and hopefully nobody flames me or makes me feel like more of an idiot than i already do.

Yeah I would definatly fix the injector connector first! They are readily available all over like a dorman product.

Old truck too! Look at all your vacuum lines for leaks and the base of TBI gasket. Vacuum leaks are number one cause of idle issues!

MAP still conected to back of TBI correct? Correct vacuum line that is not collaspsing?

Yes as far as i can tell all vacuum lines are good and the oil pressure gauge isnt resting at 0 its resting at 30 and when i get above 2000 rpm it jumps to 60 and past and at low speeds the speedo is bouncy to but stabilizes when i get going past 20mph so i wonder if that broken injector connector is shorting the system somehow and causing the miss and the wacky gauges because the motor is beastly at mid to high rpms so i know its nothing internal... In my head the misfire at low rpm is because its only getting fuel from one injectore because of the broken clip and at higher rpm the injector thats working is spraying enough to get a decent air fuel mix and keep it from leaning out

It's still the first thing I would fix. From there I would look into your EGR valve. May not be sealing completly at idle.

Definitely gonna fix that injector connector first...
My main worry is that i dont know if the gauges being out of sort are a possible side effect of that connector... Is it likely that they are?

You know what? Yes! The 1988 has a VSS sensor in the back of the speedometer! It's telling the ECM all sorts of stuff it can't handle and is having a nervous breakdown... OK I may have exagerated but yeah there is a VSS sensor in your speedo. Bet if you recorded data you would see it!

So after i replace the injector connectors (might as well do both) i disconnect the battery for like 10 minutes and then after reconnecting the battery how long/far does it take for everything to be reset and relearned?

Some people say a minute, I think it's almost instint but usually give it 30 seconds.

So i replaced the injector connectors and it runs smoother but still has a stumbling idle and misfire up until 2000 and higher =(

Fuel pressure? When is the last time you changed your filter? Cap and rotor are comon for that... HTH...

You said an oil presure gauge issue too? Check your grounds to be clean and tight. ALL! But the ECM ones are are front and back of intake.

Fuel filter and distributor cap and rotor are all new along with new msd plug wires and new plugs but im wondering if a plug got fouled during the few days i drove it in limp mode.... Are there a lot of grounds?
