Has anyone used Herculiner under carpet. I should add that ambient temps have reached over 120f where I live.
I did 2 good coats of liner/sound deadener, 1 layer of stick on mat and now the carpet heat and sound insulation.

Maybe I should mention I don’t have a top so it will get rained on.Has anyone used Herculiner under carpet. I should add that ambient temps have reached over 120f where I live.
Without a top I think the mats would hold water in the seams but I could be wrongEither choice you have to clean, but don't want to put down some dynomat/ killamat/ knockoffmat...?
Does your floor get rained on?I did, also did a stick on mat and insulation as well.
Many miles including a trip to Moab, no problems.
Pics here....
Las Vegas. 5” of rain or so a year. You say 120+ ambient, so ethier Az or death valley. How much rain do you get. If truck was in my area it could be left alone no issues, would be totally dry a few hours after rain stopped.
A good indoor outdoor carpet with no padding would be best
Doing the bed liner to prevent rust. Doing carpet so my feet don’t melt to the floor.I will say this most bedliner products don’t carry much “r” value for insulation properties. I did the entire inside of my tub with raptor liner and by itself was only marginally cooler on the floors than bare steel. So if you are putting it down first to try and cool the floors in hot environments it’s not going to work the way you think.
I’ve done Moab, Mojave and az in the summer with mine, the floor always got hot. Even summertime in Colorado which gets hot too, not desert hot but enough. Nada. Even wheeling in the mountains in cooler temps the floors would roast. I’ve put down reflective insulation, jute pad and a rubber floor mat to combat the heat. Now I can drive with teva’s, flip flops or bare feet without fear of nuking my skin if my foot touched the floor.
There are some sprayable liner products that are set up to be more of an insulator than standard bedliner kits. I think lizard skin is one, but I’m not sure. I’d suggest some searching on the web to find one. Even then it may not be perfect.
Copy that, didn’t catch the no top part!na the jute will get wet and rot plus hold water against the metal. No top.
