I thinking about herulining the inside of my aluminum tool box due to all the black anf gray oxidation that gets on anything I stick in there. Has any of you tried this?

Just Wondering,
Ray

never tried it, but you'd prolly need to shoot it with that Aluminum-specific primer before you put it on.

Spray the inside with oven cleaner, let it sit for a few minutes, rinse and repeat a few times. The cleaner etches aluminum pretty well, I used it on my boat with great results.

I'd clean it real well with Easy Off, etc, then sand it with some 80 grit.. clean with alcohol... spritz a light coat of zinc chromate on it (1 rattlecan should be enough) then coat it....

Zinc is imperative for proper aluminum adhesion...

This is an old post but if you're interested I did one without any prep, and it has lasted without any hickups.
