my 75 blazer has a edelbrock performer carb 800 with the edelbrock mechanical fuel pump on it.it is adjusted correctly and has the correct main jets and springs and more than enough engine power, but when its cold and you hit the gas even a little it dies, when its all the way warm you hit the gas and it doesnt do anything for a couple seconds and then it starts to go.any suggestions out there?

Exact same problem I'm having with my freshly rebuilt and tuned Q-Jet. I'd like to know why it does it too.

Check your carb mount and manifold bolts (inlet) Small air leaks will cause that problem. So will over carbing!
