I had an 8 inch Skyjacker in my 81 Burb and I'm installing the same in my 91 Burb. I liked the ride quality because it is street driven and used for hunting, mostly out of state. Tried to make it a neat and clean looking truck. It took a couple of days cause I did it by myself in the 100* heat. I POR-15 the springs when I got them. Had the U bolts chromed. Tried to get everything painted ahead of time. I still have to finish the exhaust and my stereo and speakers installed and then it will go to get painted. I'll have to do a build thread because I have redone just about everything so it will look brand new when I am finished.
Let me know what you think.
Thanks
Tarey

Now the front springs. In the first pic the truck sits level in my sloped driveway.

The front springs go in and the shocks are installed.
I painted the shocks with white rustoleum and cleared them, cause the paint that comes on them isn't that good.

37 BFG Mud terrains. Here are a couple pics of those tapered keepers everybody loves that hold the steering arm on. It came factory with dual front shocks. I went with the Skyjacker hydraulic shocks for better ride quality. Also used their SS brake lines. I used stainless bolts where ever I could, depending on what size I had on hand. I used to work at a place that put together high voltage switchgear with nothing but stainless steel bolts. and collected some for my self. :D

Thanks, a lot of cleaning and painting. It was rust free when I got it. Underneath still has the blue factory color paint on it. I plan on painting the body white.
