Hey gang should I get rubber or steel air stems??

stainless steel shortys for sure. they are tucked away from the edge of the rim, and the short length makes them less apt to catch on anything.

Them flush mounts sound pretty cool! What holds it on, though? Can you post a link or more info on them?

BTW, I'd heard the grommet on the steel stems will dry-rot faster than a whole rubber stem, too.

Page 209 of the new Jegs catalog, center row towards the bottom. They list for $15.99 for a set of 4. These ones are made by Mr. Gasket, so most shops should be able to get them. Ill try to see if they are on Mr. Gaskets site ( if there even is a site ), and Ill post a link if I find one.

I get all the excercise I need pushing my luck!

hey steve, my name is todd i helped brad (1fnhik5) work on his huge blazer for a couple of things. you should get ahold of him and see what kind of stems he has, his are covered by a flat round plate that he screws off and then screws back on a valve when needed. that way no stem no break!
email him if you have his email or me and ill get back to you. [email protected]
