I just got this VINTAGE Four-Wheel Campers pop-up and I am stoked about it. It has room to sleep four, two burner propane stove, propane heater, ten gallon water tank with sink and it's just really freakin' cool. I'd never seen one of these before and when I sold a tailgate to this guy, he wanted to get rid of it and I JUMPED ON IT!! It's in excellent condition to be 25 years old, and I've got big plans for it!! Best of all, I got it for free!! Just traded him my original hardtop, (which was in excellent condition itself), rollbar and backseat and my custom bikini top, but I can find another one of all of those. I'll never see one of these again!! Sorry about the book, but like I said I AM STOKED!!

Tell me what you think.

I can't tell, does the top expand with canvas? Also, do you have straight throught access to the front of the truck? Looks cool. Let us know how it works out for you .

Gandolf...
I went to that site and couldn't find any shells that had walk thru for a K5, like the Bad A$$ one above.

Maybe they don't make that model anymore. If you want one, I'd give them a call. They may make one for you as a custom order. They most likely still have the blueprints collecting dust in the corner. Good Luck.

Last time this came up, I e-mailed the company and they said they no longer made a shell for our trucks! Bummer!

Hey Gandolf do you have any pics of your k5 on the net or on your computer? I want to see a k5 w/ 4" and 33" BFG muds. Thanks!

CaptainCK5 - Yes it does pop-up, it has about 6'-3" of vertical headroom when it is popped up, which is plenty for me since I'm only 5'-11".

It does pass through to the back from the front, so it's like a mini motorhome.

Four-Wheel-Campers doesn't make them anymore, but the ones they do still make cost at least $4500.00, (and that's for the bare, empty shell model with only the beds in it), which is outrageous!! You could probably retrofit one of these newer ones to fit your old blazer but you'd have to cut your top up and the new camper to do it. That's how they did it. The cab part is a double-walled top that came with many, many 1st gen blazers that they just cut and glued to the plywood that makes up the front bulkhead of the camper. I'll get some details of the connection if you guys want it. It's pretty simple really, but don't do it if you really value your top. I'm thinking that I will probably see a bunch of these now that I've posted it on the internet, but, oh well, that's why I did it.

Once I get some more pictures developed i'll post them, until then this is what you get.

Thanks for the replies and compliments,

Buddy
