I was think of building a new truck. I have 87 k5 i just got for free and i was thinking of swapping over an Elcamino body onto the k5 frame and building a mud camino what do you guys think? Would it be to much work or pretty straight forward?

dude lifted Elcamino's are the sh!t they ,are so stupid that they are cool I say you do it

thats good to know there are thoughts in there, I would hate to think there is just empty space in that there nogin :haha::haha:j/k.

when I was a kid I saw a 4x4 camino that was bad ass, but now I would say just build the k5 and call it good, but do what you want its your build. if you want to do it, do it, and dont give a rats ass about what anybody thinks.

The worst thing I've ever seen was someone who took a mint '68 Firebird and stuck it on a truck frame with about 16" of lift. Tragedy for 4x4, tragedy for the greatest muscle car ever.

Given the relative amount of space in the back of a K5 without the rear seat, why not try to redesign the rear area to incorporate a 37" LCD tv, a 5.1 surround system, an X360, and a chopped down and reupholstered rear seat mounted backwards? Definitely a show truck idea there, but none of this stupid 4" screens mounted everywhere - it'd be functional.

I'd imagine with a Suburban without the rear seats, done like above, you could make a 42" look pretty good in there.
