hey guys put a tape measure to your tires

i just recieved a new set of 13/38-16 and they are just under 36'' ..... 10'' rims
Are they mounted? If so you need to go to the tire manufacturers website and see what size rim they were measured on. Also most tires do not measure the actual size as they are stated on the tire.

they recomend a 8-10'' wheel! thats why i was asking for real measurements, to see how close the sizes were so you could have a set of radials and know what bogger 2 match the front for a romp or a tsl for a spare...u no what matches what....
Mine say 37 but they measure out at 37 and a 1/2 on a 10 inch rim
i had a set of 36x12.5x16.5 tsls. then got 38x12.5x16.5 tsls both mounted on same rims. 3/4 taller that was it.

i've got 38x15.50 mud grapplers, and on a 15x10 wheel they measure 37.5inches tall.
but they're brand new...if a tire is used, or balding, it will have more than an inch in height differenece.

Tires rarely are as tall as advertised. I think the 36" pitbull rocker is 36.1" tall, but that is the only one that comes to mind. My 39.5 Rockers are 38 3/4 on a 10 inch rim. They are advertised to be 16.5" at section width, but mine measure 17.2"
If you run a wheel with less width, they will be taller.

yeah, there are a ton of variables here...how new the tiresare....what pressure you run em at...and what width rim you run.....not to mention how heavy a truck is.
Yep, they are very rarely the advertised height.

My 44x19.5x16.5 boggers on 16.5x12 wheels measure out at 43.5". Well that isn't exactly true, I have them on beadlocks now. So with the bead on the outside, the wheel is probably an inch or so wider.

My 39.5 Iroks on a 10" wheel with 25lbs. o' pressure measure out at 38 1/4 tall.

well my hawgs which are horrible by the way are 38.5-15.5-15s and on 10 inch wheels only measure like 35.5 to 36 and one measures almost 37 inches(got me to)they all have same amount of miles on them haha, companies suck at using a tape measure to measure their own tires hahhahah, i think all their measuring techs are cross-eyed or something when the try to read the measurement
